Scandal-plagued Kentucky Republican loses relection as Governor. Winchester, Virginia looks like the wonderful little town will continue to have a Republican Senator. Jill Holtzman Vogel is winning.

For us Marylanders with local elections on the line, Baltimore gets a new Mayor. And the pro-illegal Republican wife of RINO Tom Davis is on her way to losing her seat in the General Assembly. The Democrat "Chap" Peterson (believe it or not) ran as a staunch opponent of illegal immigration.

It's quite a night out there...

Tom won't be running for Senate Fur Shur.

Marie's advertisements were outrageous. She was in favor of leaving your guns locked up in your car whenever you visited any public building such as a recreation center.

Never understood that one at all.

Guess she thought she was making the rec centers safer by making it possible for car break-in specialists to get free guns.

She wasn't pushing the pro-illegals stuff though, but we know where she stands ~ and without her maid, her cook and her lawnboy she'd be nekkid to the world.

An “anti-illegal immigration” Democratic politician winning is a good thing, at least on that issue, right?

It is a good thing. Let every sell-out RINO learn, you will not win elections by selling out your party.

One Republican who did not sell out anybody, is the great Governor of Mississippi, Haley Barbour. Governor Barbour, who is a fine leader of his state, easily won re-election tonight.

I always wait for all the votes to come in. She’s just doing this to get evening news “face time”.

The virginia GOP has clearly been nothing for years.

DAvis and Marie are hardly the heart of the Virginia GOP.

BTW, the Dems here have to run Fascists and Nazis to win the top level state offices ~ that's the part that bothers me. Took the Byrd Machine deacades to crush those people and here they are back again.

clearly Kate Obenshain did nothing for the party either....so it’s not just the moderates fault.

Oh well, I think in November 2008 when Viriginia goes Democrat for the first time since 1964 and there is a Dem gov and 2 Dem Senators, perhaps the GOP in Va will start to realize that there might be a wee bit of a problem.

right.....

well I think in many ways, the GOP will be very dispirited and Warner will act as a lower ticket coattail for HRC.

stick a fork in the VA GOP they are done, done, done, done, done.

HRC could not get elected to a county school board (except Fairfax) in Virginia. She is universally hated among Virginians, even by those who voted for Bill. I will bet you.

We all have a long way to go before November 4, 2008 actually happens, and in the world of politics, anything is possible! People continue to give up much too soon. Why should conservatives even run for political office at all at every level all over the U.S. if it really doesn’t matter? The MSM wants this kind of negative attitude towards both Republican politicians at every level and conservative politicians at every level to always persist among conservative so that the “political left” can win big in ‘07, ‘08, and beyond! Conservatives truly still have time to seriously turn things around for them politically, but actions always speak louder than words! Don’t let the left win because it would destroy the entire U.S. “big time” for the long-term!

HUGE UPSET in Indianapolis- Local media calling it the biggest upset in Indiana Political History...

Unknown candidate Gregg Ballard defeats the supposed next Democrat Governor, Bart Peterson, with little campaign money versus a huge and well-financed Democrat Machine.

Down-ticket, Republicans now have a BIG majority on the council for the first time in decades.

THIS ENDANGERS the Democrat Congress seat now held by Julia Carson!

Republicans are having a lot of problems in Virginia as far as local politics goes, but Hillary absolutely will not win the state next year.

Not really...

It was a combination of things...

Bart pretty much ran over the voters to build the new Stadiums, then tried to finance them on the backs of the schools.

Fast-rising crime, runaway cronyism, big local tax increases, “cost-saving” power consolidations under the Mayor’s office that actually cost MORE than before, Township schools building $300 million dollar swim palaces, (with $30 million dollar foot warming pools), A $200,000,000 new library that eventually cost TWICE that much due to corruption connected to local Democrats, etc, etc...

THEN THE PROPERTY TAX BILLS CAME...
