The techniques that were employed by David Copperfield to lure women (using subordinates to make contact, promises of future employment oppportunities, etc.) are predatory and are being exposed by the press as the sick conduct that they were. However, these were the same techniques used by Clinton decades earlier (Arkansas state troopers, Wiley’s job opportunities, denial when caught) and the press gave him a pass. Clinton and Copperfield are both predators, but why should one get a pass and not the other? Couldn’t following Clinton’s role model behavior be an excuse for the magician?
Clinton got a pass because he could be counted on to defend abortion on demand at all costs. Ultimately that’s the most important issue for the Democrats.
