IIRC, Kali also is a god who clears away the old to make room for the new.

Destruction in and of itself isn’t necessarily evil.

Intelligent Design PING !

Won't an extra set of limbs be an advancement in the evolutionary debate?

Wonder if their gods and goddesses were modelled upon folks with similar defects born millenia ago?

He may as well wonder if all the giant lingam posts were modeled from real life.

She did, she can now man the drive up window and the counter at the same time at Dunkin' Donuts

Exactly, every god in the Hindu Pantheon performs an essential function to the world, Hindu culture, civilization, etc. Buddhism was unable to communicate to people without drawing heavily on this array of gods and divine entities. Even though the Buddha was quite explicit about his not being a god (at least in his final incarnation), the worshipers in most sects have fit him into and above the array of gods. Of course, not all Buddhists do this but they adopt many of the Hindu deities (example: The Ramayana is universally told.

This article does a lot to highlight the fact that top-notch medical care is now available in India. I read more and more articles about Westerners and Americans in particular who travel to India for surgeries and other medical treatments due to lack of insurance or when treatments aren’t covered. “Medical tourism” is now a thriving business in India! It seemed I read that airfare, hotel accomodations, surgery and post-surgical followups was a measly $10,000 for a heart bypass.

She will have the opportunity to lead a normal life.
A great accomplishment for her doctors.

From that x-ray it appears that the extra limbs were all connected below the waist. I wonder if this child will ever be able to walk normally?

Sweet girl. I pray she makes a complete recovery. I am so grateful for the knowledge, skills and compassion of those Indian doctors.
