But I don't have children, so why do I have to care that everyone else's children are getting stuck with these bills...????
Not to threadjack, but what happened in Utah, with the state-wide voucher situation? Were the teachers able to defeat the concept, or not? Thanks.......
Note from California:
Damn! Texas is taking a tried and failed path.
And just where are all the people in California, Texas, and around the nation that talk of caring for children, but make them slaves to debt?
It’s not that amazing; these elections are cooked! I know, I live in Texas. I’ve watched in ever growing amazement.
I live in Texas and voted NO for all those that called for a bond. A tax by any other name is still a tax.
Cancer research. All the $$$$ that the Medical Center makes, they don’t need any tax $$$$$
Unfortunately, I knew my vote was wasted in the opposition to many of those “bonds”. I did still vote.
Texas Ping....ducking, please don’t shoot the messenger.
And how is the Constitution helped by having all this crap hung on it? This is a preposterous use of the Constitutional amendment process.
My Wife and I voted NO on all the bond issues. We were in shock this morning reading the results.
Even the $556 million LISD (Leander/Ceder Park) package passed. (9 new scrolls over 10 yrs.)
I guess it’s all tied together.
The state is going to force the TTC on us so, we need to prepare for the population to double in the next 10 yrs.
Wait until my kids find out what they’ll pay for in the future. All thanks to the gullible, uninformed voting public. KISS MY ASS!
Took my 10 year old Daughter with me to the polling place last night and explained to her why I voted no on the bond issues.
She asked me “dad don’t you care about people with cancer?”
I told her sure I care I just don’t want you to have to pay for research for the rest of your life.
All a bond is as far as I can tell is a tax you pay later.
I hate my kid. I’ll slough every bill off on his butt that I can.
Sheep bleating to be fleeced...
Looks like voter fraud is alive and well in Texas.
I think a major problem is that the average person doesn’t realize that bonds=increased taxes. I voted no on all the bonds, including the terrible school bond issue that was on the ballot for my district. It’s really sad that people are so uninformed about these issues.
The canary’s singing seems off.
