Iran Chemical, Bio Weapons Threat Is Real

An attack on Iran could trigger horrific retaliation against the U.S. and her allies in the Middle East with chemical and biological weapons including nerve gas, anthrax, and a germ similar to the devastating Ebola virus.

While the U.S. has not overtly threatened to bomb Iran’s burgeoning nuclear facilities, it has warned of using the “military option.” And Iran has countered if attacked it would retaliate.

Western intelligence experts doubt Iran has acquired a nuclear device and suggest she is several years from doing so.

But many agree that Iran has a program for chemical and biological weapons (CBWs) -- one more shrouded in secrecy than her nuclear program. Not only do analysts say the Islamic regime has stockpiles of CBWs, they also suggest that Iran also has the means to deliver the weapons to targets in Israel, Iraq and the United States.

“The threat of chemical and biological retaliatory attack by Iran is very real,” Dr. Dany Shoham, a chemical and biological weapons expert at the Begin Sadat Center for Strategic Studies in Israel, tells Newsmax. “Iran is prone to dare what Iraq did not, and has the needed operational capabilities.”

In response to a U.S. or Israeli attack, analysts maintain that Iran could strike U.S. forces in Iraq with artillery shells containing CBWs. Iran’s Shahab-3 missiles, with a range of up to 1,200 miles, could hit U.S. bases as far away as Oman, as well as Israeli targets in Haifa and Tel Aviv, experts say.

I believe the response to a chemical or bio attack would be nuclear. Iran, you sure you want to go there?

The only question should be “Now or later?”
However, American leaders have so completely bought into the cult of the holy UN, the likelihood of us attacking Iran is very low. They’d have to bomb Israel, and why should they risk retaliation when they can inch their way to the same results via diplomacy and demographics?
Still if we did do it, Iran is “prone” to do what Iraq did. Bluster and cave; swagger and scamper. There are plenty of sane, moderate people in Iran who don’t want trouble, and don’t want President I’m-on-a-jihad and his crew running their ship of state.
Let’s just hope there are still elements in Western govts that know how to foul up foreign regimes. Discreetly.

Let’s say that we have bombed the Iranian nuclear facilities and that Iran has retaliated by attacking our troops with chemical or biological weapons.

Can you imagine the American response at that point?

Our response would reflect the person in the White House. If President Bush is gone and it is hitlery.....when our troops were attacked....I have no doubt there would be more talk of surrender, if not outright surrender.

If Romney becomes President, I wonder how the Muslims would react? I don’t think Mormons are “People of the Book”. Romney will be the ultimate infidel. Muslims will go stir crazy and Romney would have to nuke em. LOL

Your comment #6 reminds me of a comment I made a few years ago.

I said that if China, North Korea, Iran, et al, would launch a nuclear weapon and wipe out, say, Los Angeles our response would amaze most normal human beings.

We'd probably do nothing. Our MSM would convince their readers or watchers that it was no doubt a fluke and that our politicos should get busy and meet with the attacking nation.

Did we invade the wrong country? Should it have been Iran? Would it be sound judgement to nuke North Korea, Iran, China and....Russia?

Attacking the last two is decades too late. Russia (USSR) should have been emasculated in 1945. Had that been done approximately 3,000 US fighting men wouldn't have been captured and interred until they died in Russian hands. China should never have fallen into communist hands, but we can thank FDR and Truman for those tragic happenings.

Had we attacked the Chinese Communists and the USSR there would never have been a Korean War, or a Vietnam War. Our treasury would have been billions upon billions of dollars richer because the USSR would have been forced to pay for all the lend-lease armaments and we, of course, would have saved the money spent fighting Russia by proxy in Asia.
