Same with me. I’m a little older than you but nobody in my school was banging a teacher. Nobody I went to college with ever bragged about banging a teacher, either.

No teacher should have sexual relations with any of his/her students, regardless of ages. Any teacher violating that rule should loses his/her teaching license for good. Period. As to criminal charges in a case like this one, we have to be skeptical of the motives of the parties involved. Unless I misread, the boy was over the age of consent in that state and can be assumed to understand what he was doing. What I can’t quite get a handle on, from that item, is why he ratted her out, if not for money down the road.

Batkins was charged with the crime because she was in a position of authority during the alleged affair, which is not in accordance with Michigan law. If convicted, she will serve prison time. Not bad. We hold French teachers to higher standards than Democratic Presidents.
Bubba is probably glad the WH isn't in Michigan.

I’m a little older than you but nobody in my school was banging a teacherI went to high school in the late 1970s and the male speech coach was definitely banging one of his female charges, as well as another (married) teacher. At least that was the gossip.
