SIOUX CITY, Iowa Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clintons campaign admitted Friday that it planted a global warming question in Newton, Iowa, Tuesday during a town hall meeting to discuss clean energy.
Clinton campaign spokesman Mo Elliethee admitted that the campaign had planted the question and said it would not happen again.
"On this occasion a member of our staff did discuss a possible question about Senator Clinton's energy plan at a forum, Elliethee said.
However, Senator Clinton did not know which questioners she was calling on during the event. This is not standard policy and will not be repeated again.

Does anyone remember when her husband the stain-maker was running in '92? Didn't he plant a shill in the audience of one of the debates with G.H.W. Bush and Perot? I remember it was a guy with a pony tail but I can’t remember the planted question. Some things never change.

But according to Grinnell College student Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff 10, some of the questions from the audience were planned in advance. They were canned, she said. Before the event began, a Clinton staff member approached Gallo-Chasanoff to ask a specific question after Clintons speech. One of the senior staffers told me what [to ask], she said. Clinton called on Gallo-Chasanoff after her speech to ask a question: what Clinton would do to stop the effects of global warming. Clinton began her response by noting that young people often pose this question to her before delving into the benefits of her plan.
But the source of the question was no coincidenceat this event they wanted a question from a college student, Gallo-Chasanoff said. She also noted that staffers prompted Clinton to call on her and another who had been approached before the event
She knew, she knew.

Hillary does not like non scripted questions because they require her to process through all of the lies she has told first ... before she can come up with an answer that fits the most appropriate lie. This process takes time ... in her case a lot of time which causes long periods of silence and confused looks before she answers.
I am surprised she just does not bus her own audience around with her. Every question/answer preplanned ... that would be so much easier on her and the press corps. The press could just attend the first speech ... and use the film footage and print reporting over and over.

Not to defend her, but I am sure they all plant questions. FEMA even has false news conferences. Everybody tries to manipulate the media.

From Rush's show April 7th:
RUSH: ... Shall we go back to March 30th, 1993, from my Television Show, I played this sound bite from October 15th of 1992. This was the presidential debate, Perot, Clinton and Bush 41 in Richmond, Virginia.
THE PONYTAILED GUY: The focus of my work is domestic mediation, is meeting the needs of the children that I work with by way of their parents and not the wants of their parents, and I ask the three of you, how can we as symbolically the children of the future president expect the two of you, the three of you to meet our needs?
RUSH: That's the famous Ponytail Guy from the Richmond debate in 1992. These presidential candidates are our fathers, the president's going to be our father, and what can we expect from our father, you, to meet our needs?

In an unrelated story, Miss Mo Elliethee has been found dead in Fort Marcy Park. She apparently committed suicide by shooting herself five times with three different guns.

The campaign's admission that it planted the question may be another blow to the New York senator's image as a trustworthy politician.
WHAT!!! THE NEW YORK SENATOR'S IMAGE AS A TRUSTWORTHY POLITICIAN????? When did she ever have that image?

“But the source of the question was no coincidence at this event ‘they wanted a question from a college student,’ Gallo-Chasanoff said.”
The tape of the event shows that the question and answer went as follows:
Question: “As a young person, I’m worried about the long-term effects of global warming How does your plan combat climate change?
Clinton: “Well, you should be worried. You know, I find as I travel around Iowa that it’s usually young people that ask me about global warming.”
It’s clearly not just a single scripted question.
