Jaysun would be disappointed that the "buzz' isn't there if you take it for pain. If he wants to take oxy for a buzz, then all he'll end up is dead or very messed up along with a ruined life.

A ruined life is very much worth it if the buzz is good. So said whoever. Fine, you win.

I’m sure glad the Oxycontin is working so well for you. The people who abuse it crush up the pills and snort them, to bypass the gradual, timed-release feature that makes Oxy such an effective analgesic. Interesting user perspective about the other drugs just wish you didn’t need to touch the stuff.

What awful condition are you suffering from, that keeps you in such chronic pain, if I may ask?

I agree with you.

They want to to take the fun out and just make them systemic numbing agents

like an oral epidural....no buzz

I can tell ya’ll from two major life and death surgeries that the dilaudid buzz afterwards is a great compliment to still being alive.......I’ll never forget that

dang....they want to take all the fun out of life....next they will take the high out of poonanny.

The grizzled doc who made out my prescription gave me some sage advice.

He said go to the laxative section when I was picking up my pills and get a few bottles of magnesium citrate. The stuff worked. It meant I had the runs two or three times a day but no more Thomas De Quincy.

Either way I was sure glad to be done with that, I can tell you. Dunno how the junkies manage.

They're fighting a losing battle friend. Poonanny will always involve a high. So help me.

Oxy is just as dangerous as heroine if you abuse it. It causes the same kind of "pain". It IS cheap heroine. Well, not so cheap. And even more expesive if your using it for a high, because it only lasts an hour or so; then the pain comes and you need more. Eventually you WILL die either from overdose (stops your heart and breathing) or you will commit suicide because of depression and inescapable pain.

That's a pretty sad statement.

unfortunately for me I'm on the stuff for life, or when I can live with staying in the chair. It's a constant worry to be sure. You are always conscious of being regular. It's no fun getting plugged up.

I really don't know what the junkies do, not eat I guess. Even then they'll have to lay the golden egg at least once a week even on a liquid diet.:o)

Ahh yes, the initial buzz. That goes away after you've been on it for a long time. It gradually gets harder and harder to reach, and then it's only a memory.

Then you need more.

And more.

Then to heck with that, score some heroine. That's the good stuff.

I never had major opiates for over two weeks....and yep, they still had that cool mint feeling

I took Percocet 10s for 3 months once at about 10-30mg a day sorta as needed and I still got a buzz.

I tried not to take them during business.

I’ve got cervical, sternal and lumbar arthritis and the docs always want surgery. If I say I’d prefer dope, they try to give me the fentanyl patch which I decline....I have too much to do to take that stuff all day. Something to sleep or feel better at night is ok.

I know you were being sarcastic but a Burroughs style junkie would today be better of buying H if that’s the life they want. Stronger and cheaper than street pain killers such as oxycontin from what I read anyhow.

Ultram reflects this desire for highless painkillers and it sucks
