"Should voters have to prove citizenship?"
Yes.
Of course.
Who would even think differently?
And if they did, WHY would they be thinking so?

So why do I need a drivers license, insurance, license plates, and be sober and off drugs while driving?
It is the law!
Why give preferential treatment to a class of undeserving persons at the expense of the majority?

Democrats generally oppose identity or citizenship checks because it discourages people from voting. Voting should be comparatively easy, they say.
YES......As easy as transporting a load of drugs, illegals, and nuclear devices across the border......

Hmmmm ... I wonder if we could talk Glenn Beck out of his more on trivia (I know ... I did it on porpoise) data bank.
Come to think of it, Hannity's "man on the street Thursday" would help also.
And a few of Rush's callers too.
I'm sure we could eliminate around a thousand right there.

Al Knight has a Libertarian bent on occasion. The Post runs him because he’s been there for years but the paper rarely agrees with him. Just to clarify.

This is actually surprising. It marks the second time in a week the Post has actually taken a conservative side on much of anything Is there hope for them? Probably not. Maybe the Post feels guilty for all their past liberal positions. Naawwww......

I remember some time back hearing Rudy (I think it was on CSPAN) talking about how we need to get rid of a lot of these barriers to voting.
He seems to have a real knack for "beating the system" by taking advantage of slight defects. I hope we can stop him. He's not an honest man.

This one is a no brainer. Those that disagree with having to show an ID to vote and prove who they are...have no brains!

I’ll go a step ahead on this issue. Not only should a person need to verify citizenship to vote, they should also be made to vote on an English Only ballot.

Local governments have implied for years that an application to vote (especially if done by mail) is just that, and they do check eligibility. People have suspected for years that the checks are not all that thorough. It appears that the people were right.

My mother recently died. I hope she doesnt vote Democrat next electionMy mother was a big time demonRAT. She died in 2002 and it took me three trips to the election board to get her name removed from the rolls.
She voted for kerry from the grave in 2004.
My mother, God rest her soul, was a remarkable woman.
The RATs have perfected the art of necro-voting.

Well, this goes all the way back as far as I remember. Kennedy was elected by dead voters in Chicago. They cheat and are proud of it.

I favor strict rules. You should prove you're a citizen to assure the integrity of the vote and to safeguard against fraud. The Democrats cannot win only if American citizens can vote in our elections.
