“Should voters have to prove citizenship?”
This is a simple yes/no answer.
Answer: yes.
Write to the state where you were born, request an official copy of your birth certificate. The official copy comes with official stamps and signatures. The cost is minimal.
Direct the request to the state capitol (Government) to their “Vital Statistics” office. For exact information and addresses, these addresses can be gleaned from Google.
Now, for ladies that have married and changed your names, one might need to show an official certified marriage certificate along with your official copy of your birth certificate. It will be interesting to see how this part is going to be handled/play out.
Those ladies who kept their maiden name after marriage will not have a problem if there is one.
Yes, yes, yes and fine them at least $5,000 and maybe even put them in jail for 30 days.
The Dixie Chick business model does not work well financially.
Perhaps this an oversight by the Post, but it would be financially rewarding for any paper to present more than one point of view.
--I'm hoping it is the same for the Redford-Cruise-Streep movie Lions for Lambs----
THere shouldn't even BE a discussion about it, like it's something politicians get to decide.
Yes, for Demowits it is a badge of honor to cheat.
It is a tradition and in their blood.
YES!
Thanks for the ping.
O’Reilly played an out-take from the movie via some DUmmie morning show so that we do not now need to waste our money to see the movie.
I would never spend our money on any Redford thing anyway...
I did like the Utah state idea of converting Redford’s land into wilderness and open space.
**Should voters have to prove citizenship?**
Yes!
Democrats count the votes and keep countine them until the numbers come out right.
That the same logic applied to elections (which may not be as important to most). Election officials always check to ensure the validity of votes ...
That is the way it is supposed to work, right?
The Democrat live voters vote at their precincts while dead ones do so by absentee ballot ;-)
What we want in a voting system includes authentication that you are the person you claim to be. We want authorization certifying that you are a citizen of voting age and a resident of the state where that voting is occurring. We also want to ensure that you vote only once and that your vote can not be repudiated (switched to another candidate without your authorization or discounted entirely).
A biometric identification with an embedded digital signature to accomplish all of those goals. The RATS would scream as they want to grab as many voters (legal, illegal, deal or alive) as possible.
How about just deporting those who are not citizens?
That’s be a start.
Only if you're in favor of obeying the law. The example set by Democrats who want to steal elections with illegal votes isn't good. Neither is the failure of Republicans, including the President, to enforce the law that would keep those illegal voters out of the country.
Will someone remind me about which U.S. laws it's okay to disregard?
It never ceases to amaze me that people on this forum are so ignorant of federal voting registration law. I would like to think we are better informed. It proves how well the agenda media and politicians on both sides of the aisle have kept the truth from the voters.
Who don’t want people to prove citizenship when they register to vote? Members on both sides of our supposed two party system.
The Motor Voter legislation passed by Clinton with a Dem Congress made it against federal law for a person to have you show proof of citizenship when you register. The Pubs had an amendment in the house to show citizenship but was voted down along party lines. We watched the vote on C-SPAN. Don’t know how it passed in the Senate. That was before C-SPAN 2.
Bush fixed the problem by having boxes on the registration form asking you if you are 18 or older. Are not a felon and that you are a citizen of the US. The form has a warning that it is a felony to answer any of those questions falsely.
No person can ask if you are a citizen. It is all on the honor system!!!!!!
The media and politicians continue to tell us how secure the vote is while sending observers all over the world to make sure those elections are on the up and up while ours have deteriorated since the early 90s.
That is why they are trying so hard to take guns away. They know sooner or later they will be shot for treason for all the things they have done to destroy this country.
I second that:
YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.YES.

Of course the voter is a citizen. He’s been in Chicago for 153 years. His name came directly from his headstone in Rosehill Cemetery and Mausoleum.
