Good post.

Proper framing of issues like gay marriage, crime, the hostility of the Democrat Party to religious belief/morality, and illegal immigration are potent themes for the Republican Party.

I couldn't agree with you more. A substantial majority of the people, including minorities, are still socially conservative. The great tragedy is that the administration won twice on that basis, but just couldn't seem to believe it.

The way to reach out to blacks and other minorities is to appeal to their better instincts, not to try to pass out more gravy than the Democrats, which is impossible.

The Republicans who run the campaigns have let the media define the debate, have been cowardly about speaking out openly on issues that would have great appeal, if only they weren't afraid of offending the liberal opinion shapers.
