I for one will NOT be listening.
I can’t believe Promise Keeper Program Director Phil Boyce thinks this is a good idea. Imus is an phoney, unfunny, old coot who barely registered any ratings on his old radio station.
I know Curtis and Kuby are getting weary together but I’d rather WABC moved Bob Grant to the mornings.
I’ll be listening to NJ101.5 in the morning now. Except for my drive home when I of course will be tuned into Mark Levin.
“Ill be listening to NJ101.5 in the morning now. Except for my drive home when I of course will be tuned into Mark Levin.”
So will I! I never liked Imus and I’m not going to start listening now. IMO, WABC made a bad move hiring him, but we will see.
Imus’ ratings were low, but his demographics were outstanding. A 30-second ad spot on his show fetched the most expensive ad rate in the New York City market.
You're not obligated to like him or listen but it is simply totally wrong to say he didn't have ratings. He had the most expensive ad minutes in most markets where he played. Huge numbers of Howard Stern listeners living in their mother's basements does not equal the richest demographic that Imus had. He was every radio time salesman's dream
Phil's only promise is to his new owners, Citadel.
