I’m sure he was very liberal.

I never understood why Ann backed him except that she just kinda liked him and didn’t know Coker. Silly reason to back someone, but she sure did. I guess that’s the “charm” working for him. He’s quite a bit smarter than the rest of his family. (That’s saying something huh?)

Personally, I don’t mind listening to him debate. I don’t think i ever agreed with him on anything tho.

Another reason it made no sense to support Ford is that the Tennessee race could have determined the control of the Senate...the Republicans would still be in control if it weren't for a couple of thousand votes in Montana or a slightly larger number in Virginia. (If Allen hadn't been the target of such a determined effort by the Washington ComPost to take him down, or had handled the attacks better, he'd still be in the Senate...and could be the leading candidate for President.)
