That’s good he’s winning you back, but how did you give up on him in the first place? You’re not buying into the MSM BS trying to sabotage his campaign by saying he can’t win, and is unelectable.

That or they don’t follow the endless campaign cycle until at least the actual year of the election.

I love your tag line.

Thompson is not working the MSM as they wish he would. I think there is a strategy to every move he makes. Remember, Jeri is not just a pretty face, but a Republican strategist as well. Looks like she cleaned house and is now getting down to the crew they need.

I think by this time next month, December 10th, the contest will have changed dramatically. Fred is also a trial lawyer with strategic logic in his favor.

I am glad to see so many of you that haven’t given up on him. I am behind him 100% and will remain that way all the way to the White House.

Yeah. never was elected to any office. Never was an actor. Neither was Reagan. - Oh, wait a minute ... Rudy was nobody to anyone outside of NYC, until he became the ex politician that was the first person to ever lose to Hillary.

How many tries did it take Reagan to be taken seriously?

But the wife of an impeached ex president, now there’s somebody

Would that was all she is. She's co-chair of one of the most effective political machines in modern times, and has more allies and money behind her than the rest combined, plus international support and untarnished appeal among progressives.

And you're gonna stop her with...whom?

Yeah, we got some strays around here.

What he means is that anyone who doesn't post idiotic frothing and nearly threatening posts about Rudy must therefore be a supporter and who knows what else.

Yeah, we got a few people at FR who left that sort of stuff on the playground. Ya gotta hunt for them, though.

Under Thompson's plan, Americans would be offered the option of contributing an extra 2 percent of their salaries to a retirement savings account.

2%? What a joke.

As with many corporate 401(k) plans, the government would contribute $2.50 for every dollar that an individual saved

Great. Another transfer program.

How about instead of letting me contribute onoy 2% of my salary, I simply get to opt out of this ponzi scheme?

Where was it said that FICA taxes would increase?

Answer: Nowhere in Fred Thompson’s plan.

That's because George Bush is a remarkably

What beating, anyway?

Remarkable how the FR rank and file here parrot the MSM line when it suits them.

Bush took no beating at all.
He simply refused the battle altogether and spent his “political capital” on an issue that was important to him. - Amnesty!

If he had fought for SS reform with half of stubbornness and pugnacity that he fought for illegal mexicans, it would have likely been a done deal right now, but it wasn’t all that important to him.

Amnesty? Now that he took a beating on.

Go for it, Fred.

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorius triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

- Theodore Roosevelt

It would be great if it was more than 2%. I would love if it were, say, 50%, and each check showed how much was from the government and how much was from private investment. When it shows that people are getting much more from private investment, they will demand 100% private investment.

At least 2% is a start. Any candidate out there pushing a better SS plan?

We are not going to stop her with Gay Rudy, even if that shatters your illusions.

Hillary will sweep him into the dustbin of political history as one of the most unsuccessful political wannabes in American history.
Right along side of McCarthy and Dukakis.

How many tries do you think it will take for America to take the gay fool Rudy seriously?

I’ve got the definitive answer for you: - Never.
And if by America's great misfortune, he is nominated by the GOP, you can start your finger pointing for his landslide loss on November 10th 2008.

Remember that I told you this, because I am the type that says; "I told you so."

hey, take me seriously! I only lost to Hillary once so far!

If he does nothing more than put this back on the table, he’ll have done a great service.

But I don’t hold out hope. Bush actually worked his butt off on this issue, and the party abandoned him. It’s’ actually what really started his downfall in the polls after his re-election.

Hyperbole much? In spite of his more-frequent-than-most mangling of language, this rant about President Bush is just bull_____. The guy has had many of fine speeches when it mattered, while conveying strong messages on liberty. This is just opportunistic bashing of a very good president while he’s unpopular. If no one else has the president’s back against such distorted rant, I’ll have it.

No way I give up on Fred, that would be like giving up on honesty, integrity, steadfast consistency. As you say its Fred all the way to the finish line!
