The “election officials” themselves need to be removed from office. The very idea that they so no conflict of interest or ethical problem in the first place, before election day, that the person running the center was leading the “get out the vote” effort for one party. This requires a county, legal investigation and if I were the GOP I’d ask a judge to throw out any election in that particular precinct.

Well, this is a relatively small county, and I know the elections board has trouble getting people to work in a lot of the polls. Most of the poll workers I’ve seen over the years have been elderly. In recent years they’ve gotten some younger people in, but to be perfectly honest many of the younger ones are part of special interest groups (like environmental organizations) anyway. The retirees wouldn’t want to work on campus, especially since they are working toward ‘no cars on campus' and the parking is inconvenient and expensive if you don’t have a permit. For that reason, they’d have decided to try students. Students are notoriously unreliable as workers for any job around here, and they would have thought that the poli-sci would have the idealogical motivation to show up. I’m sure they didn’t realize that poli-sci has been taken over by the left, or that this young man was leading a party ‘get-out-the-vote’ effort.
