Thank you for your post. It is very informational and contains much of which I wasn’t aware.
Your union sounds a lot like the unions I’ve belonged to in the past - the union bosses like to rub shoulders with the powerful and just take for granted the people who do all the work and pay the dues. Hasn’t changed much in 35 years, I see.
I know exactly what your talking about, it was like that when I worked at a school in New York, the union was so liberal, I actually wrote them and told them not to send me their newsletter anymore but to no avail, they still sent it. I hated being forced to belong to such an organization.
