You Americans earn too little to pay for the amplitude of your consumption.

No...we Americans earn so much, are so productive, that we manage to buy everything we make here...or sell it overseas...and,in addition, buy about half of what Europe and Asia produces.

BuHuHaHa. I.e. you Americans still buy 8.6% of the German exports, but your share is shrinking while the total German export quote is growing. That means that other markets are getting more and more important to Europe. Besides - 8.6% (although very important of course) are far away from the "half" or whatever.

The thing is that you Americans are not that productive but you tend to live beyond your means.

U.S. National Debt Clock

Since it is in the interest of this little blue planet, that such debts are paid someday, you are well advised to adjust your consumption behavior to your actual possibilities. It is not just the rest of the world that would be affected by global economic crisis, it would be also your very own compatriots.
