Giuliani is a risky candidate for the GOP!

Conservatives are split and the winter primaries are likely to be equally split. Although Rudy leads handily in the polls, he probably won't win enough states to win the nomination. Sadly, it will likely come down to a vote on the floor at the national convention. Then, who knows which candidate will represent the GOP in '08?

If one of these "conservative" candidates doesn't do something to set his self apart from the rest of the field, and soon, we might just see the ugliest convention in GOP history.

Ya think? That’s like saying Ozzy Osbourne is a risky candidate for Pope.

The top candidates of the rinos which includes Rudy and Mitt and McCain are all risky candidates for conservatives because they are social liberals as President Bush is.

Reagan and Gingrich both proved that when conservative principles are clearly articulated by a strong candidate they win elections.

Haven't the Values Voters and Social Conservatives already driven Newt out of the race, due to his two divorces ("too much baggage") and despite his inarguable, steadfast, and brilliant articulation of contemporary conservatism?

Oh, I forgot. One's loyalty to the Monomaniacal Anti-Abortion Party platform is more important than petty conservativism. As Tony Perkins has made quite clear of late: his 12 million troopers are more "socially Conservative" than us run-of-the-mill normal everyday Conservatives. Somehow.

You folks are all wet....Rudy is the only guy that can beat the beast and I certainly don’t want her

Fred may be a nice guy, but he is not dynamic of any other strong qualities.....at best he’s a VP.

Just remember ... Her Thighness, Hillary Rotten Clinton, is far riskier. Personally, I think Bernie Kerik will be the millstone which ends Rudy’s run.

RINO Rudy is worse than “dangerous”.
Even if he should win, he would mean the death of the Republican “brand” and the end of the GOP. The result would be EXACTLY like the coup de gras Gov. Pataki gave to the GOP here in New York State.
GOP gone, dead, finito.

There is no “risk” here. It is a certainty. Giuliani will lose the election.

The best thing the Illinois Conservative can do is to help clean house in Illinois. The IL-GOP has been in free-fall for many years. It has opportunities, but never misses a chance to blow them. Illinois GOP leadership is a circular firing squad at best.

Let's start with ousting Durbin, squashing Barry Obama, and get some serious candidates for Senator.

And how about our fine Governor Blow-Dry-a-Vich? Lyin' Ryan is in jail - get over it. Let's rebuild folks!

BTW, I don't think Rudy will win the Illinois primary.

This article mirrors many of the anti-Giuliani threads posted on Free Republic over the last year and a half that did a good job exposing Rooty for the liberal he is. Nonetheless, a good summation.

The GOP`s conservative voter base remains seriously split, enabling Rooty to pick off enough support to keep him the front runner. If enough conservatives don’t wake up, Rudy will win the nomination.
