A local (Indianapolis) radio station, WKLU FM is devoting all of Sunday programming, commercial-free, I think, in honor of Veteran's day. They'll play shout-outs from Hoosier soldiers and play their requests.... visit them on air or online at WKLU.
Their blurb is as follows... On Sunday, November 11th WKLU 101.9 will air greetings and messages from Indiana Soldiers currently stationed in Iraq. Many of the soldiers have been deployed for over 12 months and have limited ways to connect with their loved ones back home. Thats why WKLU 101.9 will honor these outstanding men and women and their families on Veterans Day. Tune in for commercial free programming for the entire day along with greetings from some of the many soldiers who are serving in Iraq. Twenty four hours of nothing but vintage rock is the least we could do to honor these brave Hoosiers and all veterans who have served this great country of ours!
Congrats also to the Hosier city which just elected a former Marine and a Republican for mayor. :)
WKLU is a good Joe. bump
