Propagandists might be a better term than journalists. I've been watching the old Lou Grant show lately. Maybe what we need is a real life Joe Rossi instead of the clowns who masquerade as journalists.

Because they’re hoping to tell people something everybody doesn’t already know — even if they have no idea what they are talking about, and have been told.

“God, just let me be the first to know something for once in my life.”

They are enamored of the messengers. They consider Algore a brilliant man, and he’s a Democrat, so if he says it, it must be true. No one ever accused Journalism students of the being the brightest lights in college.

How can anyone believe that an increase from 0.036% to 0.037%, for example, could possibly increase air temperature?

Yeah...3% is nothing, eh?

Of course, it was 0.0278% back in 1750 and is now more than 0.038%....a 40% increase. Gee...that can't have an effect!

It's simply holding 2 watts per square meter more energy from the sun than it used to. That's increased only a full third since 1990. Nah, that can't have any impact... </sarc>

The deniers' claims are as disingenuous as the chicken littles'.

gee that's easy..

Go to a college and see who is majoring in "journalism". Lets see....sleep late, drink beer, avoid all science and math classes, whine about studying and graduate in 6 years..... Just like "education" majors.

Next question please.

It seems reporters are inheritly lazy. they just write what they WANT to believe, because real journalism would require investigation.

They are not “gullible.” LOL. The scum know full well what they are doing. The slime are a product of liberal schools. What do you expect?

‘Propagandists might be a better term than journalists.’

Yep.

And its worth repeating study after study has shown fully 80% of the ‘media’ is registered as Democrats.

Given that, its not surprising they march lemming like to Al Gore’s insanity.

The so-called schools of journalism are run by Marxists and Stalinists. So what would make you think that they are falling for propaganda? I think they are knowingly participating in a propaganda campaign.

Why Are Reporters So Gullible?

All I know is you had better work hard at school, earn good grades and get an education or you’ll get stuck at a newspaper job!

Or married to a woman who smells like ketchup.

;-)

Everybody is gullible when what they're hearing matches their personal "narrative." It is hard to do otherwise. But we ought to try even if we don't always succeed.

And, by the way, this applies just as much to the anti-AGW True Believers who often post on this site.

Talked to a young journalist about this. He said a reporter has to make a name for himself and that is done by finding startling news about something or someone. They are trying to predict what will be and if they are right they will have a career; if wrong they can work as a car mechanic in Des Moines. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Journalists are essentially stupid...

They don’t know anything about science, economics, or politics.

They go to school to study journalism....Writing to change the world...

Why Are Reporters So Gullible?

Because they're not very smart.

Sad. But true.

Re: Why Are Reporters So Gullible?

Gullibility has nothing to do with it... 99% of the MSM reporters are willing accomplices and lockstep cohorts to the Liberal Democrats!

The other 1% work at the Fox News Channel.

I once heard a quote from a "journalism" student in an interview. Her reason for getting into journalism was "to make the world a better place." I was stunned, but it puts everything into perspective.
