“a few more screwups and the dems will throw her overboard...”

cant’ argue with your reasoning, but there is something metaphysical about the clintons. it’s really not about hillary! but about bill. he has a magic lock upon the voting fingers of the electorate. they love him and would probably elect them (hill and bill) in a landslide. hillary is the phantom candidate that will give bill a third term in office, probably a fourth.

heil hillary! (arm extended, palm down, wait until she passes and don’t look into her eyes.)

I disagree. Hill and Bill are human beings like everyone else. Remember that Bill never won a majority of the vote in either election. Yes, he managed to stay in office eight years, when in a perfect world he shouldn’t have lasted eight days, but I think the “unstoppable Clinton juggernaut” meme has been MSM fiction all along.

From the Dems’ current point of view, Bush has managed to stay in office through numerous “scandals” in their mind. And Reagan was called the teflon President because he survived numerous “scandals” as the Dems saw it. The fact is that Americans are very, very reluctant to impeach and throw out their Presidents, regardless of the circumstances. That Bill and Hill benefited from that fact doesn’t make them unstoppable uber politicians by any means.

That Bill survived his term in office should not be interpreted to mean that he and Hillary are invulnerable. And the fact remains that although a lot of Dems pine for the glory days of Bill, Hillary is not Bill and that’s becoming ever more apparent.
