“research” done by Zogby and something called the Norman Lear Foundation have discovered that liberals are smart and sophisticated and conservatives are stupid dupes...talk about discovering pre-set notions.
Yaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwnnnnnnn.

The survey didn't follow up the question about reading materials of different philosophical views with what materials/program that they actually read. Could they name a book or movie in which they perceived as 'different philosophical view'.
Liberals always perceived themselves as 'open minded' people. This belief may be reflected on their answers. Only questions about what they actually watched/read for the past, say 6 months, and compared the results with their first statement that we would know if Zogby's claim is correct.

What a bunch of BS. The liberals have the MSM to listen hear and see their views. The conservatives do not have that much variety to get the news they agree with. Any polling data with the names of Zogby and Norman Lear in them are bias against conservatives to begin with.

Liberals REALLY have to make an effort to do this. 99.9% of movies, newspapers, TV reporters and TV shows spew the leftist line. If liberals are MORE likely than I am to be exposed to the opposite viewpoint, they must work a thousand times harder than I do.

Liberals say they like entertainment with a political flavor, while conservatives eschew such programming out of suspicion that it is tainted with a liberal bias. Instead, they favor news or reality television. And conservatives love sports programming, in part because there's no way to inject liberalism into a football game:

shows that liberals were much more likely than conservatives to listen to commentary and entertainment with which they disagreed philosophically. This could be part of the reason Air America has faltered there are simply fewer potential listeners. Ahh... So that's why Blame America went down the toilet. /sarc
Actually, what the numbers tell me is that liberals are confused and uncertain about their ideology, and are curious about this thing called "convictions".

Well, this just validates one rather glaring difference between conservatives and liberals:
Conservatives don't go after liberal radio and try to shut it down and destroy liberal radio talk show hosts because our ideas collapse piteously when matched up against theirs.
We just don't listen to their venomous, screeching propaganda hatefests.
We win in the arena of ideas every time, so why would we waste our time on the inferior beings otherwise known as liberals?

Being extremely hard of hearing, I find the program difficult to attend due the excessive advertising (for me, very tiring). I enjoy reading at his site though. If you subscribe to Rush 24/7 you can get delayed podcasts in the form of 3 mp3 files, each with one "hour" of programming, which is actually considerably shorter than that because it omits the commercials and the newscasts entirely. Costs $50 annually.

“Limbaugh’s potential audience is larger than that of liberal competitors because more liberals say they will listen to conservatives than vice versa.”
Guess the liberals are beginning to question more and after catching their party leaders in so many lies they are switching to the truth of Rush Limbaugh! :)
