Now for the rest of the story. There was a float in the parade that had a flag draped coffin with 113 pairs of combat boots that represent the 113 Arizonans who have died in Afghanistan and Iraq. See this link: http://www.veteransforpeace.org/Veterans_Day.vp.html#phoenix

"NAME OF EVENT: VA Veterans Day Parade LOCATION OF EVENT: Phoenix Arizona DESCRIPTION OF EVENT: Chapter 75 Phoenix Veterans For Peace will be in the VA Veterans Day Parade. This is our third year and still the only peace organization in the parade. We will have a flatbed trailer with a flag draped coffin with a reef in the shape of a peace sign and the boots from "Eyes Wide Open" on display. At the corner of Camelback and Central ave. we will have our protest signs and protesters. Women in Black, Code Pink and End the War Coalition will join us in the parade."
