Gun Manufacturer STI International Ends Sales to California
NSSF Bullet Points ^ | 11/12/07

Posted on 11/13/2007 5:43:59 AM PST by pabianice

MICROSTAMPING UPDATE . . . Effective immediately, STI International has halted all shipments of firearms to California. The company will no longer sell any firearms to civilians or law enforcement in the state. The move by STI comes after Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed microstamping legislation into law. "This law is not going to stop criminals, it is only going to hurt law-abiding citizens in the state," STI's Pauletta Skinner told Bullet Points. "We felt like we had to take a stand against this law."

While I admire STI’s stance, they’re a relatively small player in the gun world. If Glock or SIG followed suit they would have a greater impact on CA police forces.

***The company will no longer sell any firearms to civilians or law enforcement in the state.***

More manufacturers should follow their lead.

None the less it's a good idea. We should be doing all we can to provide business for companies that will step up in an attempt to offer support for the rights of their customers. And we should be trying to influence Glock and Sig to do the same.

We should try to make them understand that a move like this is in their interest.

Schwarzenegger signed microstamping legislation into law

Which just proves that Arnold doesn't know what a file, punch and hammer, are a dramel tool is. All of which can be used to alter marks without any harm to the firearm.

California gun owners who are passionate about their RKBA need to vote with their feet.

Good-to-go. ALL gun manufacturers should cease shipping firearms to ALL of the various gun/2nd Amendment-hating "Peoples Republics" and Nanny/Police-States in America.

Good for you. Does your handle indicate that you were from Orange County? I grew up there in the 60’s and 70’s. It was a different world then.

Too all those RINOphiles that lurk herein, be forewarned...

The RINOnator Arnold Schwarzenegger = RINO-rudy

BOTH are liberal demonRAT-like gun-grabbers of the worst sort.

You've been warned ... RINO-nator, I like that. You could add Charlie Christ to the list of RINO-nators.
