“...Parole for criminals sees big boost under Gov. Eliot Spitzer....”

Got to get these folks out in time to vote! Every vote counts, you know (except the military vote of course)

The Dems aren’t soft on crime, you know. I think many Dems are afraid one of their relatives will do time.

It’ll be interesting to see where E. Mess goes with this now, will it be only a two-license plan so the border residents can easily cross into Canada? Inquiring minds to want know...

That’s probably it. Voters didn’t recognize before that Spitzer’s specialty is suing everybody in sight. Now they do. He might as well confirm their thoughts by suing them, too.

I can’t believe we have another three years of him... and it only took him 1/7th the time to manage to achieve lower approval ratings (all by himself) than it took the media to collar on President Bush...

In all honesty, we’re very lucky that he’s performed this poorly so quickly. He has always been a grave threat to run for president, and a moderately uneventful governorship would have given him a very powerful platform. He’s already killed all chances he had to gain from this, I believe.

Spitzer’s take-away from being NY AG and sueing deep-pocketed corporations for political gain was that he could bully-through anything he wanted with the power of his office. Thank GOD this doesn’t work for him as Governor any more.

Good point, although I don’t think being Governor of New York carries much weight nationally these days. They get hyped by the New York City media as such, over and over and over again, but when its time, the national numbers tell whoever it is (Pataki comes to mind) ‘Don’t bother’.

Kinda like the hype given to Eli Manning, or Chad ‘I throw like a girl’ Pennington being hyped as quarterbacks, when their performance has never warranted such.
