Good morning
Good Morning/Afternoon and megadittos to you CC27, to those who post here from Biggirl. =^..^=
PING!!!!
Heard a very touching plea for prayers and support for a solder son somewhere in Iraq by a father who is trying to have him found to pass along good news about his wife in North Dakota just having giving birth to a baby girl on the local mid-morning local conservitive radio talkshow on WTIC AM of Hartford, CT. That is is why I was slow with the ping.
Greetings Thrill Seekers !
Tks CC for the link...
Yo! Ceech!
Hi Everyone....
Thanks for the link, Chicago....
A thought:
....last week I wrote some scathing remarks on Robert Redfords new movie, I grew up and was born in the Utah County area of Utah and know this person and what he’s like; well, his 2 bit movie is going down in flames, just like he should be.
You see, the people in Utah do not like our troops put down, Utah is a Republican state and love their President and troops very much....this idiot needs to move back to California where he came from and preach his crap in San Fran. where the kooks love that stuff.
Why Democrats might continue to burn record amounts of gasoline? To make the V8 obsolete by raising the demand for gasoline, keeping the cost high so no one can afford to drive a big car. Thinking of one of these;

Taxpayers footing the bills for illegal immigrants
11/14/07 Danbury (WTNH) _ A Team 8 investigation has uncovered information about the cost of caring for illegal immigrants at Danbury Hospital.
Wilson Hernandez has been visiting his friend at the Intensive Care Unit at Danbury Hospital for three weeks now. The friend, who does not want to be identified, is uninsured and is an illegal alien from Ecuador.
"He got hit by a car," said Hernandez. "He is in a coma. Doctors are telling us he has no chance of recovering."
And with every passing day, the already staggering bill mounts and Danbury Hospital will be paid by your tax dollars.
"Regardless what my personal opinion might be on the issue, my professional responsibility is to be sure we are meeting the needs of the community," said the CEO of Danbury Hospital, Frank Kelly. "When they come to the emergency room, we are obligated under law to treat those patients."
But how much does it really cost Danbury Hospital to care for illegal aliens? Opponents of illegal immigration have not been able to cite actual figures until now. Team 8 has obtained a financial statement from Danbury Hospital and it shows that in the first two quarters of last year, they treated a total of 321 aliens at a cost of almost $4-million.
Only three of those patients were covered by insurance and only one paid their $7,722 bill in full. State aid, meaning taxpayers, paid over 71-percent of the tab, or about $2.5 million.
Elise Marciano is the president of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Group in Danbury. "That is so incredible that our taxpayers money that this hospital is spending on people who shouldn't even be here," she said.
Frank Kelly says he understands how illegal immigration opponents feel about the staggering numbers. "Thank goodness I don't have to deal with that issue. We're in the health care business and our goal is to focus on health care," he said.
The price tag is fodder for illegal immigration opponents who take issue with the costs to taxpayers when it comes to education, city services and health care.
"It all accounts to the taxpayers and the people who work in this state that this is what our money is being paid for and we have people who need it in the state far more than people who don't belong here," Marciano said.
Meanwhile, Hernandez is grateful that Danbury Hospital is not asking questions, just providing care to his friend.
Hello pumpkin! ; )
I turned on Rush Limbaugh late (so I missed part of the call), but I heard a caller ask Rush which candidate would be best to stop illegal immigration.
Rush said (paraphrasing), Rudy Giuliani would not be, there are a couple, I have heard Romney TALK about it.
Doesn’t Rush know that Duncan Hunter actually had a fence built in San Diego, and it was Hunter’s bill that was signed into law for a double fence, with border patrol in between, from California through Texas?
Why didn’t Rush mention Hunter? Did anyone hear this?
I sent an encouraging email yesterday to the Grinnell college student and here is part of her reply to me:
“.... thank you so much. im sure i dont deserve any of that, but after some of the nasty emails ive gotten these ones do mean a lot. the props really goes to everyone who helped me prepare and for CNN for reporting honestly and posting the unedited interview on their site....”
She is out on a limb, if she were my daughter I would be extremely proud yet concerned at the same time...
Rush addressed something I’ve long wondered about. Said there were no writers on his show. No producer either.
If that’s true (I have no reason to believe it isn’t), it must cost almost nothing to product his show and so must be the most profitable enterprise in broadcast history. Or in business in general.
