I received this from OfficeMax:
--------------------

OfficeMax advertises to inspire and motivate our customers to do their best work.

We seek environments that best support these advertising goals.

Advertising environments that are controversial or polarize segments of our communities are not the most conducive for our goals.

OfficeMax customers - and our associates - represent a broad and diverse community. We will not knowingly discriminate any groups or individuals on the basis of race, religion or heritage.

OfficeMax does not want to support advertising that is controversial, yet last year they were supporting “Gay, Lesbian and Transgender” awareness month (June 2007) in their stores with “sales and store events”.

Not only is this “topic” controversial it runs contrary to nearly all religious beliefs. Where’s the concern for people of faith? This year, no word about a “GLT” awareness store events. Guess someone else finally figured out this has nothing to do with business and squashed it this year.
