My Reader’s Digest version:

Duncan Hunter hand delivered a letter to President Bush and asked Bush to pardon Ramos and Compean.

Tara Setmayer said that the jury said that they would never have found Ramos and Compean guilty IF they knew all of the facts! They were not allowed to receive all of the facts.

Laura said this is a travesty of justice, and who in their right mind would want to be a border patrol agent after this poor treatment.

Hunter said Ramos and Compean were given murder sentences. (No one died, and the border patrol were defending themselves.)

Duncan Hunter needs to chain himself to the front gate of the White House until these guys get pardoned.

I’m serious.

He’ll get attention.

He needs to start a Ramos/Compean campout on Capitol Hill and invite Americans to keep vigil until Ramos/Compean are freed.

He WILL get attention.

It is time for him to SPLASH, and this is the right issue to do it with.

Lord God, please give this man some fire as YOU vault him to recognition before this entire world. Please withhold Your judgement on this nation and instead bring a time of refreshing. We pray that You give us a good Christian man for our President. In Jesus’ name we all pray. Amen.

Larua Ingraham hosted this evening's show.  Representative Hunter and Communications Director Setmayer were guests on this segment.

The discussion centered around the unjust nature of the prosecution, conviction and sentencing of Campeon and Ramos.  Davila was the drug smuggler that one of the agents shot.

Johnny Sutton was the U.S. Attorney that seems to have played fast and loose with the implementation of justice in this case.

Ingraham, Hunter and Setmayer were stridently supportive of pardons for Campeon and Ramos.  Sutton took some hits in tonight's presentation.  It sounds like he deserved them.

Setmayer represented Representative Rohrbacher's office nicely.  She seems to be a sound conservative, at least as it applies to this case.  I was favorably impressed by her.
