The Talk Shows
Sunday, November 18th, 2007
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.; Billy Martin, attorney for Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, and NFL quarterback Michael Vick.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): A 60-year anniversary retrospective of the show.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Former Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Former Sen. Fred Thompson, R-Tenn.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda; Edwards.
Riyadh is closed down tighter than a drum for the OPEC meeting, so I decided to drop in for the Sunday festivities.

Prince, good to see you.
It doesn’t look like it’s going to be a very exciting Sunday morning from all I can tell. I may even watch FTN if I can figure out what channel it’s on.
How depressing! Here are 3 losers in a row. Is Fox implying that Vick is a Republican?
Is this the best that Fox can do?
I am delighted to see that punk Edwards on.
He has nothing to lose. I hope like the good little pit bull lawyer that he is, that he goes n the attack.
They shut him down at the debate and I was ambivalent about that. It was unfair. Hope he will come out swinging against Hillary.
Unfortunately, you are describing everyday here in the Magic Kingdom---drink coffee and/or shop all day and night.
CNN Pre-Plann(T)ed & Censored Every Question & Questioner at Dem Debate(?)!
If he can't fight, maybe he can pull a Tyson and nibble on her ear....
That’s a disturbing image this early in the morning.
CNN is now challenging MSNBC in carrying water to Clintons. Fox is fast catching up, may even beat the other two.
The Clintons cannot stand not being in total control of every situation.

Michael Vick’s Lawyer is going to be the Power Player of the Week.
There is just an extra comma in AB’s listing, but Vick is not a guest.
Billy Martin is a big name in lawyering, but based on his botching of Scooter Libby’s case, I wouldn’t ask him for any advice.
Luntz said they have $45,000 people in his focus group database.
(one heck of a mailing list)
He said they are SPECIFICALLY looking for UNDECIDED voters for the groups.
Probably people who CLAIM TO BE undecided...
Good morning!
Let’s see what we have this week.
Of all the shows I expect to self-aggrandize and overstate its own importance, it is definitely Meet the Press. They are once again demonstrating it this week with their “60th Anniversary Special.” They are once again putting forth the image that we, the media, are more important than the news. Smugness is dripping from my television set.
John Edwards is getting a full 30 minutes on Face the Nation. Edwards hasn’t played much politics and has spent most of his time pushing his hard-left socialist plan for America.
This Week offers us Sen. Fred Thompson, who will likely try to make up some lost ground. Thompson has been slipping heavily as of late, as we all know, but he’s demonstrating that he’s right on a number of issues here and if he can bounce back against Democrat hack Stephanopoulos he can build a little momentum again.
Fox News Sunday demonstrates once again why I hate Fox News. First up is Mike Huckabee, who seems to be becoming a regular on this circuit (I think he’s getting the McCain treatment this time around). He’s gained quite a bit, jumping from a distant fifth to right into the pack. After that comes Larry Craig’s lawyer (yawn) and Michael Vick (come on! Save it for Fox NFL Sunday, not Fox NEWS Sunday.).
Ratings coming up with some brand new analysis...
Any Vince Flynn books in the bookstores in Riyadh?
Exactly.
I'm not sure I can endure 2 appearances of John Edwards.
Must run and make a pot of coffee. brb.
