The Palestinian Authority has backtracked on all agreements reached for a joint declaration, Israeli officials say.
Negotiators have been working for weeks on the declaration, to be presented at the upcoming Annapolis peace conference.
Senior Israeli diplomatic officials also said that talks between Israeli and Palestinian negotiators have stalled.
It is unlikely that a joint document will be produced before the peace conference scheduled for later this month. Each side could present its own document.
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas are scheduled to meet Monday. Invitations for the conference are to be issued Tuesday.

Anyone who is well-informed about Israel and its Arab enemies won’t be surprised by this, even if George W. Bush and Condi Rice are.
In other news, my car produces CO2.
Israel should just offer Gaza to any country that wants it.
Then they clear out the West bank and send all of those terrorists to Gaza.
Problem solved.
One of their brethren Muslim countries will step right up and volunteer to establish a special region just for them.
It’s the brotherly thing to do, it’s the “right” thing to do. Why, it’s only a matter of time before Saudi, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Pakistan, or one of their neighbors will do so. (Deathly silence.)
What’s the difference? Any agreement the PA signed would have all the value of a piece of used toilet paper anyway.
Anyone who believes otherwise is either a fool or a liar (or both). Anyone who believes this peace conference is going to buy either peace or goodwill in the Muslim world is smoking something. We will offer up Israel and Serbia as sacrifieces to the Moongod of Islam and get more of the same.

Surprise, surprise!
Nobody wants it.

The only ones who might be surprised by this either work at the State Department or work for the LameStreamMedia.
Anyone else knew the Palestinians would backtrack from their agreements, either heading into the conference or heading away from it.
Unfortunately, even after the conference, one can be sure they will pull their usual duplicitous stunt that Arafat did so often - reach agreements, sign an accord in English, leave the Conference and publish an Arab translation that says something else.
Anyone who is well-informed about Israel and its Arab enemies wont be surprised by this, even if George W. Bush and Condi Rice are.
What might surprise ‘anyone’ is that President Bush and Condi Rice had planned on this. It’s why they told Israel “Sure. Give them anything they ask, on paper. They’ll never agree anyway”.
But no, everyone thinks President Bush and Ms. Rice were giving away all of Israel.
Funny how it’s working out. Both sides are now allowed to present their ‘own’ requests, instead of just a UN treaty based on who’s selling out to who.
