New York, NY (CNS) - Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore receives yet another award for his efforts to save the planet. This time, he received an International Emmy for his "An Inconvenient Truth" documentary.
He was also awarded for Current TV, a global TV cable network with 30 pct. of its program handled by the viewers.
Gore will be presented the Founders Award in November by actor Robert De Niro.
The Founders Award is given to those who touch "common humanity."
The show will be hosted by Roger Bart. TF1 Group Chairman Patrick Le Lay is also set to receive the Directorate Award.
Gore replied to the award given to him and he said that it was an "honor" to be recognized.
He adds, ""Like Current TV, it strives to create a global conversation through the powerful medium of television," with relation to the Emmy.
Early this year, Gore received two Emmy awards for his documentary.

The more schlock is rewarded, the more these "awards" are debased.
Pretty soon "awards" will be worth as much as the trinket in a Cracker Jacks.

More accolades from the Left for the unspeakably disingenuous Gore.
That must be why they like him.

Ha! My first thoughts too. Much more appropriate.
Sorta like that story about the "Lebanese female Episcopal priest" No, she wasn't from Beirut, as I learned.

I wonder if they will compare his film to the summary report from the IPCC? The two are not even on the same planet.

I wish all this would go to Gore’s head and that he would decide to run for President again.
Imagine if he ran on the Green Party ticket. He could pull some votes from the Dems. that way.

He is being awarded all these things only for his liberal politics. Everyone knows it, he knows it more then anyone.

Better that he wins the Oscar and Emmy trinkets rather than the Oval Office. Think of them as consolation prizes.

We own radio. We own the internets. Why don’t we own TV and movies yet? It’s embarrassing especially considering the fact that no one wants to watch the commiecrat BS. And with 8 years of the presidency, and control of both Senate and Congress for awhile, how can we not have shaped PBS in our image? It’s embarrassing.

I have no respect for any of these awards anymore. I used to think it was a big deal to get an Oscar, but it's only awarded to the most politically correct movie of the year.

Remember what happened in 1995 when they tried to just cut FEDERAL funding for PBS? Liberals called us "pimps" and accused us of "killing Big Bird". The republicans of course caved and gave Bill Moyers a big fat raise so he can continue the Lord's Work in bashing conservatives.
