This is typical WSJ blather. They are attempting to discount the illegal immigration issue. Hillary is not so stupid that she cannot read poll data. In one of the most liberal states in the union she and her boy Elliot were forced very publicly to stand down. I think NY poll data was way over 60 per cent against licenses to illegals and again that it in one of the most liberal states in the union. Shame on the WSJ for continuing to be the shameless globablist rag it is.

NY is definetly not 'one of the most liberal states'. NYS has to deal with the 8,000,000 people in NYC (many of whom move here from bible-belt states - raised in your backyard).
Seperate the state from the city and the picture is different. Even LI is ruled by NYC. In 2004 Nassau County was 49% for Bush and Suffolk was so close that it was a statistical tie.
