Why aren't IEDs just called "landmines" -- it's what they are, regardless of whether factory-made, or "improvised". Where are all the anti-landmine activists when you need them.
The terrorists are in violation of an (gasp) international treaty! (The Mine Ban Treaty) Why aren't the internationalists up in arms (so to speak).

Ah,.. but you forget; to the Left an international treaty (The Mine Ban Treaty), is only to be used AGAINST the US.
