I refuse to believe this.

I simply refuse.

Delay showed lots of backbone when he bailed. He needs to shut up and sit down. He had his turn and lost it.

DeLay gave us is his dour assessment at a book party for former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton

Two men I have always loved simply because they have balls, Tom Delay and John Bolton. With me, a healthy dose of backbone for fighting the enemy will cover a multiple of sins.

The GOP was elected to run Congress in ‘94 to clean out the place. They could have abolished the executive washroom, instead they just changed the lock on the door.

We won’t be fooled again.

What do you refuse to believe? That he happens to be right? With people like Giulianni leading the pack on the GOP I don't see how Hillary can't win.

Is he wrong when you consider that in spite of recent events, the Republican leadersip (not the average Joe) still supports open borders and amnesty, still wants lots of earmarks, still wants to undercut the President on the Iraq war effort and FISA and judicial appointments, and still treats the voters as ignorant morons just waiting to be led by their self-assumed intelligence.

Pray tell, what changes have been made by this leadership since the 2006 elections that shows they have a clue as to what went wrong?

Fast to criticize but lacking in what needs to be done. All smoke and no fire, just like a Democrat.

I believe he may be right. But I will do my duty and vote, and anything else I can do to make sure a real Rep. gets into office.

DeLay Declares 'Victory' In War On Budget Fat
House Majority Leader Tom DeLay said yesterday that Republicans have done so well in cutting spending that he declared an "ongoing victory," and said there is simply no fat left to cut in the federal budget.
DeLay attacking the Republican leadership for being clueless is like Rosie O'Donnell attacking Michael Moore for being obese.

We may not like the messinger in De Lay, but smart Republicans better heed his comments. DeLay learned too late to save his career. But his advice should not be ignored.

All you know-it-alls who prefer to blame the messenger rather than listen to the message just don't get it.

It was Tom Delay who stepped in the vaccuum created when the Clinton FBI files relieved Gingrich and Livingston of power. Delay was the Republican leader SOLELY responsible for Clinton’s impeachment, and he could not help it if all the RINOs caved in the Senate at the trial. There is much too critize about the GOP leadership while DeLay held his position. But he cannot take all the blame for that, Newt and Hastert called the shots. DeLay’s reputation was more of a mechanic than a big picture guy. The fact is the Rapist in Chief thought he had dodged impeachment by taking out Gingrich, but he could not avoid the Hammer.

I refuse to believe this.

What's not to believe?

The Hammer......Paul Krugman: "I'd like to bitch-slap him."

Man, I would pay real good money to see that

That girly man Krugman probably pee in his pants and cry like a little girl

DeLay told Yeas & Nays that Republicans in Congress are "looking for something to believe in" and "they're not getting it out of this Republican leadership. … The leadership just isn't getting it."

I told a nice young lady from the RNC the same thing just this morning. She called in search of our regular donation and I declined. I did let her know that I will continue to support real conservative republicans directly through their campaigns, but I am through giving a dime to the party until the leadership gives a damn about what conservatives want. I did use the words that they aren't getting it, nor are they getting my money.

I also told her that I would really appreciate it if, instead of just putting me down as a 'no', that she would pass on to the powers that be exactly my reasons for declining.
