This is some idiot bureaucrat somewhere in the depths of the Pentagon making an absolutely idiotic decision. It’ll get corrected, just like the case of the Minnesota National Guard unit’s education benefits.

True and not surprising. When I was in the AF, several people in my unit (including me) discovered we had been accidently underpaid for about a year. The AF decided that since we didn't suffer any hardship for it (no one starved to death), we must not have needed that money and refused to pay us back.

If the situation had been reversed and we had owed the AF money, the AF would have siphoned our paychecks so fast it would have made our heads spin.

That's when I decided not to re-enlist.
