Johnny Sutton accused of suborning perjury
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | November 21, 2007 | Jerome R. Corsi

A Border Patrol activist group is accusing U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton of protecting the drug smuggler at the center of the Ramos-Compean case from facing perjury charges.

Andy Ramirez, chairman of the Friends of the Border Patrol, wants a special prosecutor appointed to investigate Sutton and trial prosecutor Debra Kanof for subordination of perjury for allowing drug smuggler Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila to take the stand under "false pretenses."

Aldrete-Davila was arrested last week at the Mexican border for alleged drug offenses committed while under immunity to testify as the star witness in the case. Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean are in solitary confinement in federal prisons serving 11- and 12-year terms respectively for shooting Aldrete-Davila as he fled across the border on foot after bringing 750 pounds of marijuana across the Texas border.

Ramirez told WND he believes Aldrete-Davila's arrest last week clearly indicates he violated the terms of his immunity.

"Sutton is still protecting Aldrete-Davila," Ramirez told WND, "otherwise the drug smuggler would have been indicted for the first drug offense and for perjury."

Ramirez argued that without immunity for the Feb. 17, 2005, incident involving Ramos and Compean, Aldrete-Davila could be prosecuted not only for that smuggling attempt but also for a later attempt while using a border pass card issued by the Department of Homeland Security.

Ramirez called for all the documents in the case to be unsealed.

"Why is Sutton still keeping a lot of records about Aldrete-Davila secret?" Ramirez asked. "Even the appellant filings in the Ramos and Compean case and the government's responses to the appellant filings are under seal."

Ramirez also points to "files about how Aldrete-Davila was found in Mexico and the contacts the federal government has with the Mexican consulate at all levels in this case."

Are Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean political prisoners?

"Sutton is still protecting Aldrete-Davila," Ramirez told WND, "otherwise the drug smuggler would have been indicted for the first drug offense and for perjury."

I heard Johnny Sutton on the Laura Ingraham show. He "doth protest too much" I thought. Johnny was kind of arrogant being a friend of President Bush. There is something wrong here, I thought.

This is another of several clues about the character and integrity of our President. Other concerns are about our President's position on protecting our borders, protecting Israel, and failure to stop the unfair persecution of the Haditha marines.

Another posting by Jerome Corsi? He must be lying. Like he lied against Kerry with his book “Unfit for Duty”. Oh wait according to a lot of freepers’ he wasn’t lying about Kerry. It was his articles on North American Union. Yes, that is when he was lying. Pick and chose when we like Corsi?

Regardless, I like Corsi and the fact he is standing up for these agents. Duncan Hunter and Tancredo seem to be the only two in the race trying to get these guys freed.

Hope they are finally released and pardoned.

Based on this story and what I heard Laura Ingraham say on the O’Reilly Factor Monday nite, there’s a lot of explaining that needs to be done to the American people, but much more so to Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. They need to be freed now!

IMO, people support Sutton simply because he’s a Bush appointee. They don’t want to be party to the further *rocking of the President’s boat*.

Fact is, the President is WRONG about border security and Sutton is a pawn.

FREE R&C NOW!

This is not just a Bush Sutton thing. The real players are inside of homeland security. This points to more corrupt insider government employees involved in the drug trade. The money flow in that part of the country is getting spread around. I think this is just a case of Bush with bad friends.

No, I think the support came after Sutton pulled this. I think Sutton engineered this with other people.

I agree Sutton is a traitor. But who is he? Posters have asked this question but nobody could answer it. The lack of a biography about somebody this controversial is surprising. Johnny boy might have something to hide like maybe he converted to Muslim, has a wife in the employee of Mexican government, a mistress related to drug dealers, or hangs out with teenage boys.

The complete arrest ,conviction and imprisonment of
Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compion are a fabrication by the Bush Administration to keep Bordefr Patrol Guards from doing their Jobs.

Sutton is no more than a willing DUPE insuring his Career at the expense of others.

Look at the Evidence.

At first I took Sutton for another Nifong. But the more I hear about this guy, the more it is clear he has not been acting alone but is part of a group who go after those who enforce immigration laws. Like his co-conspirator Debra Kanof.

I would love to see this case overturned and these two men freed soon. Bush should be ashamed.

“This is not just a Bush Sutton thing”

Bush, Sutton, border Mayors, Chertoff, the Mexican gov....you name it. This stuff didn’t start with R&C.

Like I said, the President is not out of this equation although, many would like for him to be.
