Only if they determine there is an individual right. Thank goodness Sandra is no longer there.

There is no reason to hear it.
It’s a Constitutional Right.
I’d rather they NOT hear it and focus on fuzzy issues.

"The mayor is concerned that if the gun ban is overturned, there will be even more handguns available in the streets." A force for good or evil. Evil has reigned long enough, Mr. Mayor.

What a stupid poll. Iraq must be doing pretty good to ask a question like this.

“In an ABC NEWS report written by Ariane de Vogue and Dennis Powell there is a poll asking the question “Do you agree with the Supreme Court’s decision to hear a case about an individual’s right to own a gun?””
Gee...isn’t that their job...?

Geez! People are going nuts over a decision to HEAR A CASE! Imagine what will happen where there's an ACTUAL DECISION IN THE CASE!!

What a stupid question. The supremes haven’t done ANYTHING. How can people approve of nothing? It is like asking if a person agrees with the weather!

Another poorly worded poll:
Do you agree with the Supreme Court's decision to hear a case about an individual's right to own a gun?
- Yes. It's about time the Supreme Court took a hard look at gun ownership in America.
- No. This is a waste of resources. The Second Amendment gives us the 'right to bear arms.'
- Not sure. Will have a better sense when I hear the court's final decision.
Where the "Yes. It's about time to Supreme Court puts an end to states and localities circumventing the 2nd Amendment once and for all!" question

It’s going to depend on what they decide. Sometimes “do nothing” is better than “doing wrong”.

This is a test case, to see if the conservatives can hold the court. When and if the conservative interpretation of the constitution is upheld, the Democrats will turn this into a campaign issue. Many city dwellers would prefer a ban on hand guns.

If it’s not heard by the courts it will continue to be subject to the discriminations and misinterpretations of the politicians.
Although I feel the court is very much swayed by politics. We can only hope they use common sense. These are people of our time and now have to interpret writings of the Founders in their time. Which is always a crap shoot.

Yep, lets get this laid to rest once and for all.
