Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards on Wednesday released his plan to fight domestic hunger and called on Congress to immediately take action to fund programs that provide food services for millions of Americans.

Poor guy, he's fallen and he can't get up. Guess he's never heard of food stamps, welfare, unemployment, soup kitchens, churches, private charties and other efforts to do just that.

The democrats claim to be well informed on the issues, but can't help themselves from proving just how out of touch they really are.

Rest easy John. The mediamedics are on the way.

He reminds me of that speech in "The Life of Brian":

All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?
