J.F.K.’s Death, Re-Framed
New York Times ^ | November 22, 2007 | MAX HOLLAND and JOHANN RUSH

FORTY-FOUR years ago today, a clothing company owner named Abraham Zapruder filmed the assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dallas. And for 44 years, most people have presumed that his home movie captured the assassination in its entirety. This presumption has led to deep misunderstandings.

< >

But what if Zapruder simply hadn’t turned on his camera in time?

< >

If the commission had followed up this insight, it would have conceivably been able to describe the duration and intervals of the shooting sequence: that Oswald fired three shots in approximately 11.2 seconds, with intervals of 6.3 seconds and 4.9 seconds between the shots.

Unfortunately the 11-22 Truthers here on FR remain dead serious. Just check some of these wild accusations.

Not one can explain exactly how their version was accomplished. It’s easier for them to just throw a bunch of nonsense out.

It’s even more fun when they start on the shooters in the trees, sewers and bushes.

The folks on DU must be laughing their asses off and I have no idea why Jim Rob allows this stupidity to continue.

Yes, Majestic 12, the Knights Templar, and Men in Black were all involved!

My hat’s off to you if you read the entire Bugliosi book. Wasn’t something close to 1000 pages ?

". . . and, we believe, after Oswald had squeezed off his first shot."

(You'll have to read the article to find the context on this.)

If that were true, there would have been people turning their heads toward the sound of the rifle and scurrying for safety (regardless of where it came from) before the next shot was fired. A careful examination of the frames will show no crowd activity. If a shot was fired before Zapruder re-started his camera, there should have been noticeable movement by the crowd until the next shot was fired.

As far as I can tell, I don't see any. But I'm not finished comparing the frames yet.

The dog didn't bark. Nor did the rifle.

Yea but, the scary thing is that it means the other 50% here are just as looney tunes as the people at DU and Mike Rivero's whatreallyhappened.com.

All of the truly scientific examinations I have seen, the ones using physics and geometry to determine where the bullets came from and their trajectories prove conclusively that the bullets came from one window...the window...in the book depository.

Everything else is just self-indulgent paranoia.

That’s right. Call it a “Magic Bullet”. That’s the 11-22 Truthers name for their “Building Number Seven”. Everything you don’t understand is somehow impossible.

The second bullet went through Kennedy’s five inches of flesh to hit Connelly. That’s like you holding a canned ham in front of yourself while I shoot a 161 grain bullet going 2000 feet a second and you’re telling me you will be absolutely safe.

Tell you what. Name the time and place and we can duplicate this. You can even leave the ham inside the can. Deal?

I don't think so. It's like all of us gathering around the campfire swapping tales after a hard day's hunt. A time to socialize and blurt out stuff we probably wouldn't say in mixed company.

Everything else is just self-indulgent paranoia.

For example of how far this can go you need look no further than the events of 9/11. The WTC catastrophe was the most filmed, photographed, witnessed and documented catastrophe in all of history and that has not prevented the most bizarre of conspiracy theories from proliferating. It could be the cab driver or the college professor to tell you it was all a setup.

The author’s contention is that liberals cannot accept the idea that a liberal (communist) killed JFK. I think it goes deeper, as this thread demonstrates. Even conservatives are uncomfortable with the idea that so powerful a man could be slain by such an insect as Lee Harvey Oswald. It must have taken a mighty conspiracy of the elite, the rich, the connected ones.
Well, greater men than Kennedy have died at the hands of lesser than Oswald. Indeed they have died by mosquito bites and amoebae and viruses. It outrages one’s sense of proportion, but mature minds accept it when it happens.
Oswald did it. Deal with it!

I recall one “special program” where they started with 4 guns of which a gunsmith got 2 to function. One of those failed during the tests. Eventually they got their “expert” shooter to duplicate the Warren Commission findings. I saw the program not as an evaluation of what happened but a flawed attempt to validate a flawed report. Remember even Congress in 1978 found evidence of 4 shots and a “probable conspiracy”. Furthermore I had an opportunity to buy two of the Italian carbines for $100. and I passed because they were too junkie although obviously fired very little.

if JFK had just lost the presidency in ‘64 after just one term.

He wouldn't have lost in '64. He was too purdy.

"Everything else is just self-indulgent paranoia."

Probably happened according to the official version. But as long as there is an outside chance that the facts could fit other scenarios, why stifle inquiry? Unless you actually believe EVERYTHING the government says about everything. Which I doubt.

“Finally - the real identity of the 12th imam will be revealed!!!”

Or: 12 Drummers Drumming refers to the twelve points of doctrine in the Apostle’s Creed

It was Kennedy’s war on Christianity that prompted the Church to take action and kill Kennedy to halt the impending radicalism that was to ensue.

Christianity has been on the decline since the 60’s in part due to a secret cabal of secularists who are actually prominent in our government today. Why are all these 60’s radicals against religion? Who are they? Well, look no further then today’s Democrat party.

Then again, maybe it was Oswald.

The evidence of a fourth shot came from a motorcycle cops open mike. It was later refuted. Check out this site.
