yeah and I bet Edwards is at his huge home with his family today getting a really nice Thanksgiving meal that probably could feed many. Do as I say, not as I do. If he wants to feed the world so much he should be sharing his wealth and food.

Unconstitutional? Spare me. School nutrition has been going on for as long as I can remember. If you read my post correctly then you will understand that it was the liberal actions on behalf of the unions in the 60’s that cut out this program and it was the Church that stepped in to fill the void.
Liberal policies of the 60’s created this mess. Public schools in the 50’s had these programs and weren’t “Marxist”. They were part of the foundation for creating strong minds and bodies. Question. Does the public schools in your district still have the Presidents council on physical fitness? Do they have the civics competitions or afterschool programs where Dodgeball and other physical sports are played? These were things that were the staple of many youth.
Today? Nada, zippo. All that money that we paid in taxes goes to teachers unions that no longer teach our children. As you said, they indoctrinate them.
Giving milk to the unfortunate isn’t expanding the welfare state. Keeping kids hungry so they can’t properly learn does expand the welfare state.
Forms are generally sent home at the beginning of the school year and few, if any, are checked for accuracy.
Low income districts here provide ALL students with free breakfast and lunch.
How about a windfall profits tax on lawyers and investors in hedge funds and using the money to feed the poor?

Where I grew up in Queens, the neighborhood went from lower middle class white (mostly Katlick) to mostly Black. The local grocery store was getting robbed on a weekly basis, generally Friday afternoon. On day the cops left a car parked outside until about six and they got robbed fifteen minutes later.
Cops told him to hire an armed guard. (An expense not borne by suburban competitors.) He did, the ancient older Black man they hired reacted to taunting by local yutes by discharging his revolver into the ground, the recoil striking one of his taunters in the leg.
The owner sold to a family of Lebanese immigrants soon afterward. Lebanese are firm believers in the IInd Amendment. One of the brothers was hitting a female cashier, undoubtedly a relative of every other employee in the store. When the male cashier at the next register told him to knock it off, the brother advised the cashier to “chill”. The cashier can only be construed to have heed this advise, if the definition of “chill” includes whipping out a 9-mm from under the counter and pointing it at the brother’s head.
Needless to say, the new owners were not plagued with robberies or pilferage.
When the 1977 blackout hit New York City, the male members of the family assembled around the store with lawnchairs and long rifles. Sort of like an inpromtu star party.
There are worse things than starving to death. ...Edwards is one of them.
As a matter of fact why don't all the Hollyweird and other lib millionaires and billionaires solve the "problem" themselves? Think of all the righteous feelings they could have about themselves until they die. I can just imagine a mob of ahem hungry people knocking on Babs Streisand's or Robert Redford doors. What kind of greeting do you think they'd get? (smirk)
Lure supermarkets into neighborhoods that don't have them.

That is, until they were burned down in riots. Or closed down due to all the customers and employees being constantly robbed at gun point by certain residents of those neighborhoods.

Where in the constitution does it give government the power to have government schools?
There are many people who don’t agree with the government brainwashing children to be obedient to the state until they are 17. Why should liberals be allowed to use the government to take our money by force to brainwash children against our will? Why should liberals be allowed to force their beliefs on us?
I believe in private schools and home schooling , and school choice not in government schools.

Any government giving turns people who would have gotten job skills into beggars. So your “giving”(liberal big government programs) to the unfortunate is what creates poverty and makes these people poor and also hurts the rest of the economy because these people become a drag on the rest of us and do not produce anything. Government give aways are a cancer. government is a cancer. The only difference between a welfare state and a totalitarian state is a matter of time as Ayn Rand said. This is why Hitlery Clinton and the socialist Democrat keep pushing for more help for the “unfortunate” and more government programs. Big government and socialism also destroys economies and civilizations as happened in the Soviet union, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. But liberals don’t care as long as they have power which is what they want total power.
It is the welfare state that has created any hungry children if that liberal media lie is even true. When the government gives away welfare , food stamps, public housing and medicaid to people in the inner cities it turns these otherwise productive people in beggars who have less resources than if they would not be so “helped” by the government.

I think it’s way more than that, I know I went hungry about 6 am...ate breakfast.
Went hungry about 11 am...ate lunch.
Went hungry at 6 pm...ate dinner.
