She is a radical liberal. She was then and she still is.
I think a big difference between liberals and conservatives is that the conservatives are willing to take stands on the issues and state their convictions. And the conservatives try to persuade others to their points of view.
Liberals do not want to state their stands on issues. They want to hide what they truly believe because they fear not being elected if they level with people about their beliefs.
“Liberals have to hide what they truly believe or they won’t get elected” [paraphrase]
How true. And yet Bill Moyers and others like to claim that there is a liberal majority in our society simply because sooner or later everyone is going to draw Social Security or Medicare while riding on Interstate highways.
But there is no such Left majority and Herself The Flying Buttress knows it.
Actually I think the big difference is that when you grow up you become conservative because you understand the world as it really is. Liberals who stay liberals by the age of 60 are little children mentally, throwing tantrums because "life isn't fair". And making everyone else pay for their immaturity. I know I'm not alone among people who were once liberals, but then finally woke up.
