More important, I wonder what effect the following had (and perhaps continues to have) on Hillary: “Rodham’s mother had been abandoned by her parents and, at age 8, put in charge of her 3-year-old sister on a cross-country train to live a Dickensian existence with relatives”
She nurtured an interest in using the law to aid the needy — especially children — that remains integral to her politics, but which opponents use to pummel her values. . . .
What values does Hillary have? She wants to represent today’s modern career woman, but stayed in an abusive marriage. She wants to break the glass ceiling and be president, but she wouldn’t be in this position except for the man she married. She doesn’t want to be honest about what she stands for as she stands for election. She wants to take credit for the achievements of the Clinton administration, but no blame for any failures of Bill’s presidency.
