A simple review of the Boeing vs. Airbus economic struggle ought to illustrate to the foolish Lou Dobbs types that lower dollar is good.

Airbus is now doomed and Boeing will now crush them in the global market.

This story can be multiplied by hundreds.

I cannot understand why when this same cannard was used on the Reagan administration and the Japanese debt control that people still fall for these silly arguments.

A lower dollar has advantages and disadvantages. Personally, I buy more imports than the exports I sell. But it will help our very efficient manufacturing sector.

And it will give the whiners something different to whine about, which will be a nice change.

I agree with you about positives and negatives. For me, as long as these movement are lead by a free market they are a net good. Currency valuations will rise and fall due to various factors.

I do resent the ideological biased media strategically trying to tip the invisible hand by hyping inevitable market changes as portends of doom.

They know full well that speculative economic attitudes constitute their own self fulfilling prophecy. They want Bush to have a bad economy so this is the explanation we get— both from liberals and disgruntled conservatives who want more than what Bush offers.
