I just read a negative review of Joan Peters “From Time Immemorial” (1985) which questioned her theses is that a large part of the increase of the Arab population was owing to in-migration by Arabs into Jewish areas. The critic relied heavily on official records, and it made me smile.

That's an old criticism of "From Time Immemorial" and you have shed new light on it. Well done!
This reminds me of Kosovo where the Albanian Muslim invasion was done legally (Tito promoted it) and illegally.

Israel and South Africa are similar in that European people settled both and as they generated economic activity people from all around immigrated (legally, illegally, was there even such a distinction back then?) to where the action was. Blacks moved in to work mines and farms and Arabs moved in where the Jews were

The Muslim attitude is they are "the best of people". Rightful lords of the earth who have an Allah given right to live anywhere and if it's in an infidel nation they have a right to bleed the infidels dry. It's called the Jizya tax

Every civilization has its weaknesses. One of the weaknesses of Western civilization is that it’s so successful that it attracts mass migration of people from other nations. We stupidly permit this, because A) we’re more benevolent than other populations and B) it benefits us in the short term because these new arrivals will work for low wages. But in the end, they bleed us dry via our generous welfare programs and eventually they block vote against us and threaten to take our nation from us, or do take it from us, as in the case of South Africa.

I find it frustrating that our—well, Bush’s secreary of state is trying to cast this as a Israel vs. Palestine matter, when it has obviously become a Muslim-Jew thing. Bush-Rice cannot seem to rap their minds aound the religious character of this conflict. But it has been developing this way since 1967.
