Well, actually Americans got most of their ideas on individual liberty from 17th century Englishmen, and the Magna Carta before that.
I suggest you read the 1689 Bill of Rights and see how familiar it looks...

Drive from Office and positions of Authority all who who hold your lives and the lives of your loved ones cheap.
