Recorded phone conversations between three suspects in the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway could be the evidence needed to propel the case forward, according to a Dutch newspaper.
Citing anonymous detectives in Aruba, De Telegraff reported Friday that police have taped conversations between Joran van der Sloot and brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe from earlier this year which contradict their earlier testimony regarding Holloway's disappearance.
The Kalpoe brothers were arrested in Aruba Wednesday while police in the Netherlands took in Dutch college student van der Sloot.
"New material in the investigation" led to the arrests, prosecutors said — although they refused to reveal the nature of the new evidence.

I think some water and a good board and you could probably find out what happened to that poor girl.
I hope that Natalee and her family find justice at long last.

More likely they're going to find out that their daughter overdosed on a mixture of drugs and alcohol...and the guys involved panicked and tried to cover it up after the fact.
Reinforces my belief that teenagers should not be left to run wild on spring break...either in the states or abroad.
I think the guys drugged her to rape her and she died.
I don’t even think it was pre-meditated. I don’t know all the known facts and I’m just guessing, but it was probably just her and Joran, they went down to the beach - and they were probably very drunk and a number of things could have happened to cause an accident and the other boys helped him cover it up.
Heard early this AM on tv, and haven’t since, something about Crab Pots. Maybe some fisherman is missing one? Don’t remember what channel. Interesting.

That’s what I suspect, as a number of young women have made the claim that those three men drugged them, then raped them.
