That is not necessarily true. Ask Urban Myer. In fact, the opposite is true. At least that is what he says anyway. I saw him speak about two years ago and the problem he first encountered at Florida was that the players were only concerned with going to the next level instead playing as a team and winning football games.

Florida...I didn’t know they had college football teams. Do they even have Pro teams? I mean seriousely, Miami Dolphins?

OK,you are right. But leadership knows how to temper the drive for the next level and play as a team. college footbal is a team sport mixed with personal drive.
