Peter had a tape of the July 11, 2000 conference call. On that call, which included Peter, Craighead, Levin, Rosen, and Wolfson (and others), it was acknowledged that the cost of the event would be over a million dollars. In the testimony in his criminal trial, Rosen swore that the costs were hidden from him and he had no idea. Treasurer Andrew Grossman had was in possession of $1.6 million of documentation from Peter, through legal service in the lawsuit, but still filed a third false report on July 30, 2001, claiming that Event 39 cost $401,000.

As of Aug 15, 2000, everyone knew that the event cost over a million dollars. Wolfson admitted it to the Washington Post. This crime has been perpetuated in broad daylight. Despite the fact that there was compelling evidence or Rosen having a false invoice created and hiding expenses, he did not have unique knowledge about the cost of the event. It will be interesting to see if the government goes after him for perjury after his deposition in this case. (Who am I kidding.....the Bush justice dept?)

Another tape was the Sept. 22, 2000 meeting with Bill Clinton as he stepped off AF-1 in Los Angeles. Bill indicating to Peter that he was looking forward to working with him. That tape went “missing,” despite the fact that it was taken under government subpoena.
