Bill Sticks To The Script In Dublin [Clintonista follies]

There were no references to piling on by his wifes boy opponents or swiftboating during the former presidents fundraising appeal on Hillary Clintons behalf in Dublin this weekend.
He talked about how the world needs Hillary, and really didnt mention the primary at all except to ask everybody who has a cousin in Iowa, South Carolina and Nevada to call them and ask them to vote for her, said Brian ODwyer, who jetted over the pond for the event. He probably didnt get very far with that, although he would have had he asked them to call their counsins in New York.
ODwyer, an attorney, chair of the Emerald Isle Immigration Center and a longtime friend and fundraiser of both Clintons, is being touted as a possible US ambassador to Ireland is the junior senator makes it to the White House next fall, so hed be an unlikely candidate to dish on any oopses - had any occurred. Nevertheless, I caught him with his defenses down yesterday morning after he had just arrived back in the city and was heading to bed.
The $2,300-a-head event, open to US citizens only as per FEC rules, was a sell-out and reportedly raised more than $300,000 for Hillary Clintons coffers.

"...to ask everybody who has a cousin in Iowa, South Carolina and Nevada to call them and ask them to vote for her, said Brian ODwyer, who jetted over the pond for the event."
Bill Clinton goes abroad and urges foreign citizens to lobby US voters to vote for Shrillery! Hey, I like the Irish as much as anyone (and am 1/4 Irish!), but WTH is a US politician doing, going to a foreign country to urge them to influence a US election??? It's certainly illegal to solicit financial political donations from non-citizens -- I wonder if the cost of trans-Atlantic phone calls could be construed as any "in-kind" donations?? And how does the FEC regard soliciting the time and energies of people who cannot legally participate in US politics on behalf of a US candidate???
Whether or not this is illegal (can someone check), this certainly could be turned against Shrillery in a hard-hitting TV ad...... "Bill Clinton went overseas to solicit support for Shrillery's campaign efforts" etc.

THe attendees were supposed to be US citizens, according to the article, but it would be worthwhile to find out (1) whether this requirements was really strictly observed, and (2) whether or not any press were present, whether his appeal was in any way publicized in Ireland, etc.

"urges foreign citizens to lobby US voters"
Correction, I meant to note that the claim is that the fundraiser included only US citizens, but as with anything related to the CLintonistas I would not trust these SOBs as far as I could throw them, so it all deserves to be checked out thoroughly.

HA!
LOL at me! ;o)
I didn’t read the date on that article.
He wasn’t in Belfast on this trip.
But, it does explain why they like him so much.

"Bill Clinton goes abroad and urges foreign citizens to lobby US voters to vote for Shrillery!" I read it as urging foreigners to intervene in a US election with the intent to influence the outcome.
Even for a life form as low as a Clinton that is a crime in deed if not in law.

They do claim they held the event for US citizens only, but as with everything Clintonista that ought to be checked out — these grifters can never be trusted to follow the rules or the laws.

bannie, Clinton brokered the peace agreement between the Nationalists and the Loyalists.
Read this short article, and you will better understand.

The Europa Hotel mentioned in the article has the distinction of being the most bombed hotel in Europe.
I was there this summer, and visited Belfast.
It hasn’t been but a couple of years since taking a day trip to Belfast was akin to taking a day trip to Baghdad.
