You know, I've been meaning to say this, everytime I see it, but the person in that cartoon really looks a lot more like Madeline Allbright, rather than Bill Richardson.

I'll claim Roberts and Alito as saviours, if for sake of your argument with EV you can't. One more justice like them and I truly believe the republic is safe...at least for a few more decades....

....which brings me back to friggin' John McCain and his gang of 13. We'd already be there except for my senator who seems to know better than the rest of us.

Roe was decided on bad law to begin with. Perhaps they didn’t want to participate in making bad law worse.

Have you ever even read either decision?

It was Kennedy "making bad law worse." Scalia and Thomas stood solidly against doing so. And Roberts and Alito didn't make a peep. In other words, they endorsed Kennedy's words by their silence. It was a pathetic display.

They are trying to intimidate you. Don't let them silence you because you believe in the rule of law. Don't let them stifle debate

I'm not intimidate or being silence .. I just realize that their is a whole country out there .. not just on the right

Marlo Thomas. Daughter of the wealthy Danny Thomas, wife of that ball-less wonder...Phil Donahue?

Yup. You got it right. That girl!

Right. Seven of the nine sitting justices were put there by Republicans.

It's always "one more." Reminds me of this:

You see, you are never supposed to enjoy yourself. You are always to feel guilty.

Sounds like my Irish Catholic upbring *L*

I always hated that guilt BS

It is possible to enjoy life and help others in need

Rummy's plan (so say several new books on the subject) was to incorporate the Iraqi Army, not fire them as Bremer was convinced to do by nefarious parties in the CIA and State who wanted to see Bush fail above all else.

I never liked Bremer

Great comment and people do well to take note of that when looking at Presidential candidates they have to acceptable to more than the Republican right to get elected.

So whom would you approve on the court? Bork perhaps? I’m good with that, but it’s not the conversatives you should be critizing for being too weak. It’s RINO’s like McCain and his buddies, and all the dems. It was conservative outrage from people like txradioguy about Harriet Miers and rumors of Gonzalez that pushed Roberts and Alito to the top of the list.

I don’t like Chris Wallace’s style of rapid fire questions jumping topics around like a mad man. Makes me think he’s trying to get a sound bite that trips up the person he’s interviewing.

— saw the fox piece,, FRed handled ‘kid’ Wallace just fine.. FRed sounded good..

Not one actual primary vote has been cast yet.. a little detail a lot of folks ought not forget.

Hey, Nordie! Have you read Fred’s ideas on illegal immigration? He has some stuff at his website about it. I like his take on it. It looks at where we are today, at what can be done stop the flow into the country, and how we can stop the incentives to stay, for those who are here illegally. After many self-export, then we can concentrate on those remaining. He makes it clear that he is all for LEGAL immigration, he just wants folks to go through the proper channels.

You can say anything on a website. We have no way of knowing what is true and what is just a cover story. What we can do is judge actions. This continual none stop whining by supposed Conservative at the GOP for not being perfect does ONE thing. Elect Democrats.

Actions speak far far far louder then words. And by their actions the always whining Freepers are Democrat activists in everything but name.

Wonder what the 100%ers around here would of said about a President who signed 6 tax hikes? Signed a real Illegals Amnesty? Appointed a liberal to the Supreme Court? Doubled Federal Spending in 8 years? Spent Record Deficits? Ran away from a Muslim Terrorist threat? Played diplomatic footsie with Iran's mullahs?

-

-

-

- That President was Ronald Reagan. So not even the greatest President of the 20th Century could measure up to standard being demanded by the purist Freepers

Nothing in life is ever perfect. Adult minds accept that and fight like heck to see as much as possible of what they want done gets done. Childish minds, and certain pseudo Conservative talking heads, whine hysterically because their political glass is only 70% full. All the time, by their actions, helping make sure it will NEVER get any fuller.

CNN is doing a story on the Haditha marines and the fact that the marine was cleared and the media has ignored it. No mention of Murtha just yet, but I’m STUNNED. A TRUE story about Haditha. Story is about Justin Sherrit(sp).
